    Tony Stewart reveals meeting with NASCAR execs that kickstarted his retirement

    Tony Stewart retired from full-time NASCAR Cup Collection competitors on the finish of the 2016 season, however he started engaged on a retirement plan two years prior. 

    In an interview on the “Rubbin is Racing” podcast, Stewart revealed the circumstances that led to his eventual retirement. 

    “Years in the past, this was most likely 2014 possibly 2015, there there have been 20 of us drivers, we represented all of the producers, we represented each automotive proprietor within the Cup Collection,” Stewart said. “We picked 5 issues that we stated we thought would make [NASCAR] higher.
