On Sunday evening, Dallas Cowboys EDGE Micah Parsons referred to as head coach Brian Schottenheimer as a part of TikTok’s “good night” trend.

Within the clip, the coach promised Parsons the group would resolve his contract state of affairs. After all, the 26-year-old pass-rusher is ready to play on the fifth-year choice of his rookie deal in 2025.

“I do know that is bizarre for everyone, however look, you are dealing with every little thing the precise method, bro,” Schottenheimer instructed Parsons. “This factor goes to get labored out.”

Now, it is time for the Cowboys to satisfy that promise.

Last week, Parsons tweeted he would attend obligatory minicamp. On Monday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram noticed him on the Cowboys facility, The Star, in Frisco, Texas, signaling he’ll be current for the beginning of minicamp on Tuesday.

Parsons, nevertheless, has not clarified whether or not he’ll attend coaching camp in late July with out a new contract. Even when he does, that does not imply he’ll take part in on-field drills. The defensive stud lacking time throughout coaching camp can be expensive for the Cowboys, particularly with new defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus putting in his system.

At the annual league meeting in April, Cowboys proprietor Jerry Jones mentioned he contacted Parsons about his deal with out his agent, David Mulugheta. The sting-rusher subsequently tweeted he would not signal a brand new contract with out his agent.

Since then, the group has made little progress in contract negotiations with Parsons.

“No totally different than the rest. I am going to let when it occurs,” Cowboys chief working officer and co-owner Stephen Jones mentioned in a news conference on June 4.

Parsons might command a deal that tops Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase’s annual common of $40.25M, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback within the league.

Nonetheless, worth should not be a priority when it is a participant of Parsons’ caliber. Since being drafted No. 12 by Dallas in 2021, he has 52.5 sacks and has earned two first-team All-Professional nods.

The Cowboys solidifying their future with Parsons would guarantee Schottenheimer has loads of good nights in Dallas.
