    Zilisch wins pole for NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Mexico City

    For the the fourth time in 2025, Connor Zilisch will lead the NASCAR Xfinity Collection discipline to the inexperienced flag. 

    The 18-year-old rookie received the pole for Saturday’s Chilango 150 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez by one-tenth of a second over Ty Gibbs, who was the quickest driver in Saturday’s practice session. 

    The pole is the fifth of Zilisch’s Xfinity Collection profession, making him the youngest driver to notch 5 poles within the historical past of the Xfinity Collection. Zilisch received the one Xfinity Collection race of the season to this point at Circuit of the Americas on March 1. 

    Gibbs, Christopher Bell, Carson Kvapil and Sammy Smith rounded out the top-five, with Sam Mayer, Austin Hill, Taylor Grey, Nick Sanchez and Jesse Love finishing the highest 10. 

    Different notable qualifiers embody defending Xfinity Collection champion Justin Allgaier in twelfth, Sheldon Creed in thirteenth, Andres Perez in sixteenth, Sage Karam in twentieth and Ruben Rovelo in thirty first.

    Daniel Suarez will begin thirty eighth after a crash throughout his qualifying run, whereas Anthony Alfredo will begin final in thirty ninth after crashing throughout follow. 

    The Chilango 150 will go inexperienced shortly after 4 p.m. ET, with protection on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race protection will start at 3:30 p.m. ET on the CW and MRN.
