    Former GM Reveals His Thoughts On Tigers Signing Jack Flaherty

    The Detroit Tigers made the postseason for the primary time in 10 seasons after ending with a document of 86-76 and coming in second within the American League Central.

    Not solely did the Tigers shock everyone by making the playoffs, however they knocked off the Houston Astros within the AL wild-card spherical.

    Coming off that profitable season, the Tigers have made some notable acquisitions, together with second baseman Gleyber Torres, beginning pitcher Alex Cobb and beginning pitcher Jack Flaherty.

    One former MLB common supervisor revealed his ideas on the Tigers’ current signing of Flaherty.

    “I like this for Detroit. The Tigers making a win-now transfer is a good factor for the sport,” Steve Phillips stated, through MLB Community Radio on SiriusXM.

    “I like this for Detroit!”

    Flaherty debuted in 2017 with the St. Louis Cardinals and has performed for 4 groups over his eight-year MLB profession.

    In 2024 with the Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers, Flaherty began 28 video games and was 13-7 with a 3.17 ERA and 194 strikeouts in 162.0 innings pitched.

    After a quick exit from the Tigers group, he went to the Dodgers and left L.A. with a World Collection title.

    He now makes his manner again to Detroit because the Tigers attempt to return to the postseason and make a deeper run in 2025.

    The Tigers will search for their first World Collection look since 2012 and their first title since profitable all of it again in 1984.
