Dricus du Plessis despatched a callout Alex Pereira’s course after his spectacular primary occasion win at UFC 312.

Du Plessis dominated Sean Strickland over 5 rounds to retain the middleweight title in a rematch this previous Saturday. Following the win, “Stillknocks” checked out Pereira — who was in Strickland’s nook — and stated, “Is there nobody else? Is there nobody else?”

After the combat card in Sydney, former two-division champ Daniel Cormier, who referred to as the motion with Jon Anik and Michael Bisping, reveals what Pereira advised him about du Plessis’ problem on his YouTube channel.

“Within the octagon, he calls out Alex Pereira,” Cormier stated. “I advised Pereira after the combat, I’m going, ‘He desires you, Pereira.’

“Pereira goes, ‘He’s simply too small.’ Critically. Pereira goes, ‘This man is simply too small.’”

In the course of the post-fight press convention, du Plessis made it completely clear that Khamzat Chimaev could be subsequent for him in his try to earn his third championship protection.

Upon reflection, whereas a champ vs. champ combat between du Plessis and Pereira would do nice enterprise, Cormier agrees with du Plessis that he must get by means of Chimaev earlier than fascinated by including a second belt to the gathering.

“Alex is big although,” Cormier stated. “He appeared large in comparison with Dricus. And I really like that Dricus has these large targets, I simply assume he has work to do at middleweight earlier than he begins fascinated by going up — Khamzat Chimaev being downside No. 1.

“Watching Dricus [on Saturday], I don’t know that Chimaev simply drives throughout the mat and takes him down. He’s so good at what he does. … He’s the person. Dricus du Plessis is the person, and he as soon as once more proved that [at UFC 312].”
