After a battle with prostate most cancers, Main League Baseball and Chicago Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg has handed away on the age of 65.
A local of Spokane, Washington, Sandberg was a Twentieth-round choice within the 1978 MLB Beginner Draft and he made his MLB debut on Sept 2, 1981 for the Philadelphia Phillies. That offseason, Sandberg was included in a trade that despatched shortstop Larry Bowa to the Cubs for Ivan de Jesus. Whereas Bowa was out of Chicago by 1985, Sandberg turned the most effective to ever don a Cubs uniform.
“Ryno,” made 10 All-Star video games, received 9 Gold Gloves and 7 Silver Sluggers en path to his 2005 Baseball Corridor of Fame enshrinement.
