Sergio Pérez is out from Purple Bull’s Formulation 1 group after a tough season that noticed him end a disappointing eighth within the driver’s standings and leaving Purple Bull third within the constructor standings.

With reviews that Liam Lawson will step up and take over the second spot, that ends hypothesis about who will race alongside defending champion Max Verstappen.

Talking of Verstappen, he did one thing stylish for Pérez, sending a candy message with the information breaking on Wednesday: “It’s been an absolute pleasure driving alongside you. We’ve had some superb moments collectively that I’ll all the time keep in mind. Thanks, Checo!”
