The Washington Nationals had but to make a commerce with the Baltimore Orioles since leaving Montreal. That modified on Wednesday.
Roch Kubatko of MASNsports reported that the Orioles traded reliever Kyle Nicholas to the Nationals. In alternate, the Orioles acquired minor league infielder Randal Diaz.
Nicholas by no means appeared in a serious league recreation with the Orioles. He was traded from the Pirates to the Reds throughout spring coaching for utility man Tyler Callihan. He made seven main league appearances for the Reds, permitting seven runs on eight hits and 13 walks over his 7.1 innings, hanging out seven.
The Orioles bought Nicholas from the Reds on June 4 and assigned him to Triple-A. He’s more likely to stay within the minors with the Nationals and function a depth choice for a bullpen that has been battered by accidents.
