Jerry Jones telegraphed why dropping Micah Parsons wasn’t the tip of the world for the Dallas Cowboys when he defined how his workforce may defeat the Inexperienced Bay Packers in Week 4.
On Thursday, the Cowboys traded Parsons to the Packers, a workforce that’s 3-0 in opposition to Dallas within the playoffs since 2014.
Throughout his information convention on Thursday, Jones referenced needing to get higher in run protection as an element that led to Dallas making the commerce, seemingly taking a shot at Parsons about an issue the protection has when he is on the sphere.
“The info are particularly, we have to cease the run,” Jones stated through Clarence Hill Jr. of All Metropolis DLLS. “And we haven’t been capable of cease the run in key instances for a number of years. And when you’ve gotten the type of extraordinary go rush that [Micah] had, then the way in which to mitigate that go rush is to run at you.
“If the go rush doesn’t get you forward fairly large time, and also you’re enjoying even or behind, you then’ve actually acquired an issue in stopping the run.”
