Crystal Palace supervisor Oliver Glasner says he thinks captain Marc Guehi will stick with the membership this month earlier than leaving as a free agent in the summertime.

Manchester City and Liverpool have been linked with a transfer for the England worldwide this month as his contract runs down a Selhurst Park.

Newcastle and Liverpool came close to signing the centre-back previously two summers and Glasner is assured he’ll keep till the tip of the present marketing campaign.

Chatting with Sky Sports activities, Glasner stated: “If the supply would have been excessive sufficient [last summer] and the membership was high-quality with it and Marc wished to go, then he wouldn’t be a Palace participant anymore.

“Final January would have been the identical. Each single participant has a value the place a membership will promote him, especiially when you find yourself Palace as a result of we’re not on the finish of the meals chain in soccer.

“I feel Marc will keep but when he says ‘I need to keep’ and a membership pays large cash with 5 months left of contract, then any participant would depart if you’re a membership like Palace.

“I’m positive our chairman will ask a really excessive value for him, let’s see.

“I don’t know if Marc needs to depart. Proper now once I see him taking part in, coaching, his dedication, we’re speaking very often collectively. I feel the followers might be calm. However you by no means know what can occur in soccer.”
