Dre Greenlaw performed in his first sport for the Denver Broncos after he returned from injured reserve on Sunday, however the veteran linebacker has now been suspended for Week 8.
The NFL introduced on Monday that Greenlaw has been suspended one sport for unsportsmanlike conduct due to his actions towards referee Brad Allen following Denver’s 33-32 win over the New York Giants on Sunday. The league stated in a press release that Greenlaw chased Allen and verbally threatened him because the official was leaving the sector after the sport ended.
Greenlaw was discovered to be in violation of Rule 12, Part 3, Article 1(b), which prohibits “the usage of abusive, threatening or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officers, or representatives of the League.”
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reviews that Greenlaw will attraction the suspension.
