    The quarterfinal bracket is set for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Reigning champions Japan took care of business. Team USA had to sweat it out until the final day of first-round action.

    The first team to punch its ticket to the semifinal was the Dominican Republic, which beat Korea 10-0 in just seven innings. That sets up a potentially massive matchup against the United States on Sunday night.

    On Saturday night, we’ll get a heavyweight matchup between Venezuela and Japan in Miami. Italy and Puerto Rico will also face off in the afternoon in Houston.
