U.S. women’s national team ahead Mallory Swanson is anticipating her first baby with husband Dansby Swanson, shortstop for the Chicago Cubs.
The couple introduced the being pregnant on Instagram, with Mallory Swanson captioning a collection of photographs, “Our biggest blessing.”
Mallory Swanson, 27, was on the U.S. workforce that gained the 2019 Ladies’s World Cup, and the gold medal finally summer time’s Paris Olympics. She scored the lone aim within the 1-0 victory over Brazil within the Olympic ultimate for the gold medal.
Mallory Swanson has not performed this season for her membership workforce, the Chicago Stars within the Nationwide Ladies’s Soccer League. She’s been excused for private causes.
Dansby Swanson, 31, is a two-time All-Star. He gained a World Sequence with the Atlanta Braves in 2021 and gained back-to-back Gold Glove awards in 2022 and 2023.
Mallory Swanson’s teammate on final summer time’s Olympic workforce, Sophia Wilson, is also expecting her first child with husband Michael Wilson, a large receiver for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
