Hoosier the Bison is returning house to Indiana University.
On Tuesday, the varsity introduced that Hoosier the Bison, Indiana College’s beloved mascot from 1965 to 1969, can be again roaming the sidelines in Bloomington. The announcement was made in a cameo-filled video that featured a number of outstanding figures within the athletic division, together with soccer coach Curt Cignetti and males’s basketball coach Darian DeVries.
The choice to deliver again the mascot comes after a profitable soccer season, by which the Hoosiers went 11-2 general en path to its first-ever School Soccer Playoff look. Within the midst of their shock season, the IU Pupil Authorities launched the Deliver Again the Bison Act of 2024. The invoice handed in December.
Previous to its official return, the bison might nonetheless be discovered round Bloomington, together with a picture of it holding a mug of beer at native bar Nick’s English Hut.
Hoosier the Bison will make his official return within the fall, in line with the video announcement.
