Manel Kape is brimming with confidence and has made large claims following his Spherical 1 TKO win over Brandon Royval earlier tonight at UFC Vegas 112.
After securing three back-to-back knockout victories in the UFC, Kape now desires a title shot and has already referred to as out newly minted flyweight champion Joshua Van.
After capping off UFC’s ESPN period with a highlight-reel end, ‘Starboy’ appeared in an interview with ESPN. In the course of the sit-down, the Angolan-born Portuguese fighter opined that he stands above Kyoji Horiguchi, Kai Asakura, and Tatsuro Taira within the Japanese market:
“If you wish to go to a brand new market, Japan, I’m the king there. Tatsuro Taira is Japanese, however he’s no person there. Horiguchi isn’t an enormous star there. When you see my struggle with Asakura, the group was chanting my identify. Put 100 individuals in line and also you’ll see who the Japanese followers would take photos with and ask for autographs. Manel Kape thinks Joshua Van is ‘already scared’
After calling out Joshua Van throughout the octagon interview with Michael Bisping at UFC Vegas 112, Manel Kape was later requested about his ideas on Van not reacting to the call-out. In the course of the post-fight presser, ‘Starboy’ stated:
“He’s [Joshua Van] is scared already. He’s scared. He is aware of he didn’t say something as a result of he’s about to go down. And I’m coming sizzling. 2026, I’m coming very popular. I’m coming with a whole lot of investments, a whole lot of sponsors, I shall be extra prepared, I shall be extra sharp, I’ll be very targeted… I’ll eat, sleep, and take into consideration him each day. Until I take that gold. And he’s gonna sleep and dream about me. I’m going to be the worst nightmare he’s going to have in his life.”
