There are two hurdles with a Myles Turner deal. First, it’s unclear how out there he really is. Given his impending free company, there’s a sense across the league Turner is sneakily gettable and might be had for the best value. He’s going to be seeking a contract starting in the $30-plus million range annually, and the Pacers aren’t sure if they want to pay him that much, according to league sources. That needs to be factored into this equation if the Lakers commerce for him. Second, the Pacers would possible want a middle in return. They don’t seem to be a corporation that tanks, and giving up their beginning heart with out getting one other would possible trigger them to take a step again within the East. -via New York Times / January 29, 2025
