    A person arrested on suspicion of racially abusing Bournemouth ahead Antoine Semenyo in the course of the Premier League opener at Anfield has been banned from attending soccer matches throughout the UK.

    The incident occurred within the twenty ninth minute of Friday’s match towards Liverpool, when Semenyo reported the abuse on to the referee, resulting in a quick stoppage in play.

    Merseyside Police confirmed {that a} 47-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

    He has been conditionally bailed with restrictions that embrace a ban on attending any regulated soccer match within the UK and a prohibition on going inside one mile of a chosen stadium.

    Police added that the investigation stays ongoing and that they’re working carefully with Liverpool Soccer Membership.

    Semenyo, 25, later addressed the incident on social media, calling the night time one he would always remember “due to how your complete soccer household stood collectively.”
