Klint Kubiak Confirms He Will Be the Las Vegas Raiders Next Head Coach

The 10th and final NFL head coaching vacancy is officially filled.

After helping the Seattle Seahawks win Super Bowl LX, offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak confirmed he will be the Las Vegas Raiders next head coach.

“You guys know I’m going to Las Vegas,” Kubiak said following Sunday’s game. “I’m fired up about it.”

Kubiak earned the position with the Raiders after an impressive season calling plays for the Seahawks. After head coach Mike Macdonald’s first year in Seattle, he brought in Kubiak to reshape the offense. Seattle increased the emphasis on its run game, a versatile attack with grinder Zach Charbonnet and speedster Kenneth Walker III. Kubiak helped turn Jaxon Smith-Njigba into an elite wide receiver as he led the NFL with 1,793 yards. But most importantly, he continued to get the best out of quarterback Sam Darnold.

Kubiak had impressive performances in Seattle’s last two games against the Los Angeles Rams, which were significantly decisive to its Super Bowl run. The Seahawks scored a combined 69 points over those two matchups, highlighted by a game-winning drive in the overtime of the regular-season game.

Entering the season, expectations weren’t high for the Seahawks’ offense. But under Kubiak, they were eighth in the NFL in yards per game (351.4), third in points per game (28.4), and finished the season with 14 wins for the first time in franchise history, and the organization’s second Super Bowl ring.

This was Kubiak’s third stint as an offensive coordinator — he spent one year in Minnesota in 2021, and another season in New Orleans in 2024 — but this time his tenure will end because of a step up in his career.

Kubiak will take on a Raiders team which finished 2025 with a 3-14 record and the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
