A USC legend is blaming the Trojans for the tip of their longstanding rivalry sequence with Notre Dame.
Keyshawn Johnson, a two-time All-American with the Trojans,
“I simply heard that we’re not taking part in Notre Dame. The sequence is on the point of finish within the subsequent 12 months or so,” Johnson mentioned in a social media video. “I don’t know what the F is occurring with our athletic division. We’ve bought individuals in there that aren’t Trojans, that don’t know something about being a Trojan, working our athletic division. We’ve bought a head coach that is aware of nothing about being a Trojan. Why don’t we simply not play soccer? How about that?
“If I can bear in mind accurately, I had Lincoln Riley speaking about, ‘Effectively, I don’t know if I need to play them sooner or later.’ You ain’t gonna be right here sooner or later! Particularly if you happen to hold lacking the playoffs! … We working from groups now? We working from Notre Dame? Why don’t we run from Oregon and Michigan and Ohio State and Wisconsin? Why don’t we simply not be within the convention?”
Johnson concluded by basically arguing that the Trojans had been abandoning the rivalry as a result of they’re frightened of Notre Dame.
“Why would we cancel our largest rivalry? As a result of we will’t beat them? It makes zero sense,” Johnson concluded. “It’s actually laborious to help this program after we carry on doing one of these stuff.”
