“It was an absence of communication there with the fourth official, from our employees,” mentioned Silva, who recommended he had wished to withdraw Sasa Lukic, not Sessegnon.

“We had sufficient time to appropriate. After I noticed Sessegnon out, I attempted to appropriate it. He (fourth official Robinson) determined to not allow us to appropriate it.”

Silva’s displeasure with the officers was prolonged as he felt Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi ought to have been dismissed within the forty fourth minute when he was proven a yellow card for a lunging problem on Joachim Andersen.

Senesi was then changed by Illia Zabarnyi for the second half.

“It (the substitution) confirmed that they (Bournemouth) realised what we realised as properly, that it was a mistake from the referee, it was a mistake from the VAR,” mentioned Silva.

“And naturally they took the participant out as a result of they knew he’s going to be in the end, in all probability a participant that’s going to be out (despatched off).

“Most likely if I’m in the identical place as them, I’m going to do the identical as a result of it was clear. When you see the shin of Joachim, it’s clear.”

“That may’t occur… you can not defend like this. It is unattainable.” ❌
