    Florida A&M AD arrested on fraud charges, accused of stealing over $24,000

    Florida A&M College athletic director Angela Suggs was arrested Monday on fraud and theft fees for allegedly utilizing a company bank card for private use totaling greater than $24,000 at her former job.

    Suggs, 55, turned herself in and was booked on the Leon County Jail. She was later launched on a $13,500 bond.

    She was charged with two felonies: grand theft and scheme to defraud. She was additionally charged with 4 misdemeanor counts of false claims on journey vouchers.

    The Florida Division of Legislation Enforcement mentioned Suggs made wire transfers, money withdrawals and private purchases at casinos throughout enterprise journeys whereas CEO of the Florida Sports activities Basis.

    The investigation started final November after the FDLE acquired a prison referral from the Florida Division of Commerce’s Inspector Common, which audited Suggs’ enterprise bank card purchases and corresponding journey reimbursements on the FSF.
