It has been an enormous week for tushes and pushes within the NFL. On Wednesday, throughout the NFL house owners’ assembly, the league voted to uphold the tush push as a legal play.

The NFL wanted 24 votes to ban the play made well-known by Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, however it fell two votes brief with a closing tally of 22-10. That sound you are listening to is Philadelphia followers pointing and laughing on the groups that needed the almost unstoppable play outlawed.

One participant probably becoming a member of the followers in that regard is working again Saquon Barkley. On Thursday’s episode of the “Exciting Mics” podcast with teammates Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship, Barkley threw some shade on the groups that voted to ban the tush push.

“For me, personally, as a participant, I do know if I do not wanna do a tush push on the 1-yard line, ensure I rating. I feel I bought tackled on the 1-yard line like 11 occasions,” Barkley mentioned. “However the banning factor of it, I feel it is mushy to be sincere, just like the groups that need to ban it — as a result of all people can do it. It isn’t a play that we solely can do. We occur to have top-of-the-line and largest [offensive] traces, and Jalen Hurts can squat 600 kilos. That is not our fault.”
