    Details emerge in crash that killed ex-NASCAR driver Greg Biffle

    The airplane that crashed Thursday in Statesville, N.C., killing seven individuals, together with former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, turned again towards the airport shortly after takeoff and didn’t subject a Mayday name, the Nationwide Transportation Security Board said Friday.  

    Along with Biffle, the victims included his spouse, Cristina, their son, Ryder, and his daughter, Emma, together with Dennis Dutton and his son, Jack, and Craig Wadsworth, in accordance with authorities. The airplane was making an attempt to land on Runway 28 — the identical runway from which it took off.

    The airplane, which was owned by Biffle, crashed at roughly 10:15 a.m. ET  Thursday. “The airplane had taken off at roughly 10:05 a.m.,” stated Dan Baker of the NTSB in a Friday news conference. “The airplane had departed runway 28 on the Statesville Regional Airport.”

    Baker stated the plane turned west earlier than turning again east in an try to return to the airport 5 minutes after takeoff. It’s not recognized who was flying the airplane, the NTSB stated. Three of the airplane’s occupants had a license to fly, together with Biffle.
