    Chelsea boss Maresca defends goalkeeper Sanchez after latest error

    Chelsea supervisor Enzo Maresca defended goalkeeper Robert Sanchez after his newest error gifted Wolves a purpose within the Blues’ 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening.

    Sanchez dropped a nook on the ft of Matt Doherty who poked in an equaliser after Tosin had put Chelsea forward.

    The previous Brighton goalkeeper has now made 4 errors resulting in objectives within the Premier League this season, solely Ipswich City’s Arijanet Muric (5) has made extra within the competitors.

    Maresca stated: “You stated it was the fourth mistake [leading to a goal]? OK and what number of instances did he save us? Greater than 4. So no downside.

    “It occurs. Errors occur to him, the strikers, the midfielders. He’s doing effectively.”

    Chelsea had not received within the Premier League since mid December however wrapped up the win because of second-half objectives from Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke.

    Maresca was happy with how his facet responded to Sanchez’s error to finish a five-game winless run.

    “The primary 40 minutes we have been high,” he stated. “The efficiency was glorious and we dominated the sport. We scored and created many extra possibilities.

    “Then within the final 5 minutes of the half what has been taking place within the final 5 video games occurred once more.

    “Wolves had a bit little bit of confidence and acquired their purpose after which we began to struggled a bit bit. Second half we began fairly effectively after which after the second and third objectives we have been in management.”
