    WEC: BMW bests rivals to Brazil victory

    BMW claimed its second victory of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season within the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo, because the #15 BMW M Hybrid V8 triumphed at Interlagos.

    The Kevin Magnussen/Raffaele Marciello/Dries Vanthoor crew secured the Bavarian producer’s second success in simply 4 races, prevailing after an in depth contest with the reigning world champions within the #51 Ferrari AF Corse 499P.

    The BMW crew emerged on high following a battle with James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi and Alessandro Pier Guidi, who finally completed second after a hard-fought duel across the iconic 4.3-kilometre format.

    Finishing the general podium was the pole-sitting #12 Cadillac Hertz Group JOTA Hypercar, with Will Stevens and Norman Nato securing third place.

    The LMGT3 class produced one other carefully contested multi-manufacturer battle, with Ford Mustang, Corvette, Akkodis ASP Group and Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG all spending time on the head of the sphere in an enthralling battle for sophistication honours.

    Finally, it was the #81 Racing Group Turkey by TF Corvette of Salih Yoluç, Charlie Eastwood and Peter Dempsey that emerged victorious, sealing a memorable class win.

    The #69 Group WRT BMW of Parker Thompson, Anthony McIntosh and Daniel Harper completed second in LMGT3, whereas the #92 Manthey Porsche of Richard Lietz, Riccardo Pera and Yasser Shahin accomplished the category podium in third.
