Lane Kiffin’s messy exit from Oxford is much from over.

The famend head coach simply left the Ole Miss Rebels to tackle the LSU Tigers‘ job, and whereas he drew loads of criticism for the way in which he dealt with the scenario, it appears like there’s extra to it.

Kiffin launched a statement criticizing the choice to not let him end the season and coach Ole Miss within the playoffs. An preliminary report mentioned he let assistant coaches know that they need to both observe him to Baton Rouge on Sunday or they would not get a job there on the finish of the season. Kiffin disputed that, however now, one other report has emerged on the scenario.

Lane Kiffin’s assistants reportedly have till Monday to decide

Based on a report by Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, Kiffin did, certainly, give his coaches an ultimatum. Nonetheless, the deadline to decide is Monday.

“The fact is that they’ve extra time. However not a lot,” Florio wrote. “Phrase is that they’ve till tonight to determine on whether or not to go. At that time, the vacant positions will likely be stuffed from the skin.”

The Rebels promoted defensive coordinator Pete Golding to be their new head coach. That offers whoever decides to remain some kind of sense of continuity and a small assure to maintain their jobs if they do not select to depart and be a part of a fellow SEC foe.

Even so, given the way in which issues have gone down between Kiffin and his now-former employer, we would not be even near the top of this story.
