The Indianapolis Colts have grown accustomed to quick begins by way of six weeks of the NFL season. What they have not needed to begin quick, although, is accidents.

In accordance with ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Colts cornerback Charvarius Ward was concussed in pregame warmups and dominated out of the Week 6 matchup in opposition to the Arizona Cardinals. Ward was engaged on some routine drills when a fellow participant blindsided him.

The collision was tough sufficient that Ward did not stand up from the sphere for a second. The published confirmed that whereas Ward was practising his protection and working a route, one other Colts participant ran on the sphere simply as Ward turned at excessive velocity. The 2 gamers, who have been trying in reverse instructions, bumped into one another, and Ward did not stand up for a second.

It is a important blow for the Colts and their protection. Ward has been a key piece of the workforce’s turnaround because the 29-year-old has elevated his play this season. Whereas his stats have not been eye-popping, with no interceptions and simply 9 solo tackles, he is been nice in protection.
