UFC President Dana White is getting nearer to securing the Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall battle it seems.

“The battle goes to occur. It’s only a matter of when now, getting it signed and carried out. The battle will occur,” White mentioned in an interview with TNT Sports on Friday night.

Jones vs. Aspinall is the most important battle the UFC could make for the UFC undisputed heavyweight title.

“It’s going to occur. It’s carried out however it’s not carried out. Not carried out sufficient to take a seat proper right here now and announce it and offer you a date. However the battle goes to occur,” White added. “It’s only a matter of getting it signed now.”

Aspinall is rising uninterested in ready for Jones to signal on the dotted line, telling Jones to fight him or retire recently.

“There’s no the place to go for Jon,” Aspinall mentioned. “He both has to battle me or retire now. And if he does retire, everybody is aware of that he can have been avoiding me. So there actually isn’t one other battle for Jon in the mean time. So it really works out fairly good.”
