    FAI withdraws support for FIFA President Infantino

    The Soccer Affiliation of Eire (FAI) has withdrawn its backing for FIFA president Gianni Infantino, whereas the Irish Soccer Affiliation (IFA) says it helps UEFA’s place as stress continues to mount on world soccer’s governing physique.

    The transfer follows Monday’s joint assertion from UEFA, Concacaf and the Asian Soccer Confederation, which accused Infantino of betraying the belief of member associations over the failed proposal to promote a stake in FIFA’s industrial operations to non-public buyers.
